| 08/24/2006 As if the Subaru Impreza WRX isn't exciting enough already Subaru SA has come up with an even hotter WRX Prodrive Edition of its all-wheel-drive performance sedan. The car, available on request for R315 000, has a number of performance upgrades and a racy styling kit - not a lot more than the WRX at R294 000 but substantially less than the flagship STi at R394 000. It's the first in a series of Subarus to be tweaked by Prodrive UK, a company long associated with Subaru and which runs the brand's World Rally team. Prodrive says its version of the 2.5-litre, turbocharged boxer engine delivers 185kW and 360Nm, the standard engine 169kW and 320Nm Motoring |
